Organizational Communcation

Organizational communication focuses on the communication processes and practices of working in an increasingly collaborative, dispersed and culturally-complex environment. Courses address a variety of topics including organizational culture, information communication technologies (ICTs), virtual organization, organizational socialization, non-standard work relationships, and globalized organizations. Through course work in organizational communication, students pursue to achieve mastery in qualitative (ethnographic techniques) as well as quantitative (psychological and behavioral science research designs) approaches.

Dr. Shawn Long, Dr. Jaehee Cho, Dr. Lori Gossett, and Dr. Cliff Scott specialize in Organizational Communication. Dr. Christine Davis also does some research in Organizational Communication.
